Playing with Electricity in Northern Ireland!

Last November in Belfast, Northern Ireland, in some realization of pre-cognitive superhero conceptualization, two men shot electricity from their bodies.  Here's to hoping we use these powers for play not war (fingers crossed).

I can't get enough of this right now. It's not even on Spotify. Ill shit. Hoping it'll loop indefinitely in my subconscious. And to eventually book this guy for a show ;)

Fuerza Bruta - Theatre of the Unreal

A man in a suit treadmill running on stage, long-haired girls swimming in water overhead the audience separated by a sheet of glass... Fuerza Bruta looks to be breaking ground in NY theatre with an immersive experience.  Bravo.  I'd be there if I could afford $79 for a ticket.

Macel li Antune Roca // High Tech Interactive Performance Art

Macel li Antune Roca totally pushes the envelope in terms of what I've seen in the world of interactive audio performance.

I read a wonderful long-form dissertation on his work and how it fit with the evolution of performance exploring mechanical additions to the body in an NYU course "Cyborg Culture."   It mentioned an early project of Roca's where he set up a surround video/audio environment with an artificial body lying in the center.  Visitors could touch different parts of the body and effect the audio-visual scape surrounding them.

TRANSPERMIA

It super weird and fresh - overwhelming for the senses.
