Lunice and Low End Theory Podcast

Lunice is stoner music.  So says the guy who mans the register at Brouwerij Lane where I picked up the name.  He wrote it on a coaster for Himmel voller Geigen which the chick he was closing with said she was cutting her hair to restage the photo shoot for --iconic goofery.  On the same coaster is the wickedly awesome Low End Theory podcast, to which I'm now addicted (scrumptious mashes from experimentalists).

But back to Lunice...

Broad City. From webseries to Comedy Central

Broad City is some of the super awesome 'girl humor' referred to in a previous post.  It was created by UCB Theatre alums Abbi Jacobson and Ilana Glazer.

These two girls aren't afraid to go there comedically.  Puke's definitely not off limits.  But instead of gross out potty humor that borders on offensive, they handle it in relatable situations.  Modern misadventures meets digital snacking.

Jacobson and Glaser have a pilot in the works for Comedy Central that's being produced by Amy Poehler.  #UCB.theatre.connects

A Summer Battle: Sail by AWOLNATION

Powerful audio. This song is great. But I think I might like the video better.

I guess it's true; the new zombie, the new vampire of entertainment is girls.  Especially the girl comedy is being passed my way.

 AWOLNATION's summer battle scene is equal parts poetic and goofy. Just wait for the curveball.
